This western saddle pad brings together timeless style and unbeatable functionality. The woven wool top and 100% wool felt lining make it not only a standout piece for the show pen, but also a tough, reliable choice for everyday riding. Equinen is the chosen pad brand for happy hackers and competitive riders alike!
Wool felt has long been the gold standard for western saddle pads, and for good reason: it naturally cushions impact, wicks away sweat, and regulates temperature, helping keep your horse comfortable in all seasons. Unlike synthetic materials, real wool felt moulds to the horse’s back over time, improving the fit and stability of your saddle. It also offers excellent shock absorption, reducing pressure points on long rides.
This pad features a contoured spine for a secure, stay-put fit and a two-piece felt lining with full-length spinal clearance, giving the horse’s back the freedom it needs to move without restriction.
The top is expertly handwoven on a black base with a classic western pattern in shades of brown and a sprinkle of teal, and finished with brown wear leathers and spine for durability. The natural felt lining completes the look.

Care instructions
Shipping and returns
100% wool felt, with real leather wear leathers, spine and wither pieces.
Remove hair and dirt with the Hair B Gone tool, and spray with Freshly at least weekly, to keep your pad in pristine condition. When not in use, store the pad in a well ventilated area where the bottom of the pad can breath.
When the above instuctions are followed, it should not be necessary to wash the pad with water. But if you do wish to do so, wash the pad carefully by hand, in cool water (never hot water!), and use a cleaning detergent specifically suitable for wool fibres. Dry in a well ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Do not machine wash, dry clean or tumble dry. Make sure the pad is completely dry before using it again (it can take several days to dry).
